Beneath the earth lies a place older than memory — the Nightfall Crypt. Its silence is not peace, but patience.

Long ago, a hidden brotherhood called the Order of the Veil Unremembered wrought their cold work there. They did not merely kill; they erased. Names, histories, every thread binding a soul to the living world — all were severed. The dead of that place lie in numbers no chronicle dares to count, buried without prayer, without marker, without mourning.

In a later age, the lich Sarulith rose against his master, Vael Turog, the Eternal Sepulcharch, and failed. His punishment was not death, but something worse: he was sealed within the Crypt, bound forever among the nameless dead. Yet in the long silence of his confinement, he raised those bones to his will. What was once a tomb became a fortress. What was once a place of sorrow became a hunting ground. Undead sentinels now patrol its halls, and somewhere among them, it is whispered, walks a living servant whose name no record preserves.

Heed this warning, traveller:

The Nightfall Crypt is not a ruin. It is not a grave. It is a wound in the world that has never been allowed to close. It asks a heavier price than gold — it asks your name, your memory, and at the last, your very self. Turn back, if you still can. The dark beneath those stones has hungered long, and it does not forget those who come to its door.
