A Guide to Jewelcrafting

Put a ring on it
"[toc]\n# Jewelcrafting #\n\n## Introduction ##\n\nThis guide is a work in progress. Also, **guide** is a loose term, as it's basically just tables detailing the effects of the combination of gemstones, settings and accessories.\n\n### How to read the tables, aka. examples\n\nYou've reached the milestone in your jewelcrafting journey where you decide to make a Figurine (Relic) or a Scepter (Off-hand). You've checked you have the required skill level (written on the schematic) and decide to make a Copper Figurine. Checking at the Jewelcrafting table you take note of what components are required ([Bear Tallow](https://shalazam.info/items/558-bear-tallow), [Ashen Polish](https://shalazam.info/items/781-ashen-polish), but being a true jewelcrafter you already have stockpiles of that), and also a Duo or Partner Setting.\n\nBeing a sneaky Rogue, you opt to go for some more Physical Crit Rating, so you check the tables below and find the required gem, a Zircon in a Partner Setting. So you check the Gemcutting table and notice that you require 2 Zircon, which is perfectly fine, it's a relic after all, but you do grumble a bit when you see that the Copper Figurine gives stinky mana as a bonus, so instead of making a Copper Figurine you go for the Pewter, but with a Copper Partner Zircon Setting.\n\nAfter sweating over the choices, and making sure everything is in place, you craft it, and the result is a majestic Pewter Copper Figurine which gives you +5 Health and +9 Physical Crit Rating. Good job!\n\n## Figurine / Scepter / Crude / Simple (Currently not in EA)\n\nWhen crafting a Figurine or Scepter, the finished product will include an extra bonus on top of the properties you get from the Setting. The same when you're crafting Simple Jewelry, both gemstone and signets.\n\n| |Pewter |Copper |Brass |Nickel |Silver |\n|:--- |:---: |:---: |:---: |:---: |:---: |\n|Figurine |+5 Health|+5 Mana|+5 Mana|+15 Health|+15 Mana|\n|Scepter |+5 Health|+5 Mana|+5 Mana|+15 Health|+15 Mana|\n|Crude Jewelry |- |- |- |- |- |\n|Simple Jewelry|- |- |- |+10 Health|+10 Mana|\n\n## Setting\n\n### Round / Duo / Row\n\n|Gemstone|Effect|Pewter|Copper|Brass|Nickel|Silver|\n|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|\n|Citrine|Poison Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Jade|Disease Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Quartz|Concealment|+3|+2|+4|+6|+8|\n|Spinel|Dodge|+9|+9|+18|+27|+36|\n|Topaz|Nature Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Turquise|Chemical Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Zircon|Spell Crit Rating|+9|+9|+18|+27|+36|\n\n### Square / Partner / Trio\n|Gemstone|Effect|Pewter|Copper|Brass|Nickel|Silver|\n|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|\n|Citrine|Fire Res.|+3|+1|+2|+9|+9|\n|Jade|Cold Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Quartz|Awareness|+3|+2|+4|+6|+8|\n|Spinel|Parry|+9|+9|+18|+27|+36|\n|Topaz|Magic Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Turquise|Shock Res.|+3|+1|+2|+3|+4|\n|Zircon|Physical Crit Rating|+9|+9|+18|+27|+36|\n\n## Named Jewelcrafting Items\n- [Spider Fang Necklace](https://shalazam.info/items/809-burlap-spider-fang-necklace) (Skill required 1)\n- [Polished Bone Ring](https://shalazam.info/items/912-polished-bone-ring) (Skill required 3)\n- [Wolf Fang Earring](https://shalazam.info/items/810-pewter-wolf-fang-earring) (Skill required 6)\n- [Grizzleclaw Necklace](https://shalazam.info/items/820-cotton-grizzleclaw-necklace) (Skill required 33)\n- [Night Fang Earring](https://shalazam.info/items/801-copper-night-fang-earring) (Skill required 39)\n- [Whisperscale Ring](https://shalazam.info/items/816-cotton-whisperscale-ring) (Skill required 45)\n- [Orphan Woven Ring](https://shalazam.info/items/1014-cured-leather-orphan-woven-ring) (Skill required 63)\n- [Frostcoil Rattle Earring](https://shalazam.info/items/908-nickel-frostcoil-rattle-earring) (Skill required 69)\n- Chillgaze Scale Choker (Skill required 75)\n\n## Signets\n\nWe don't have any information about how much the various dusts will add when crafting Signets."

Duo looks like same effect as Round. Partner looks like Square. Brass = +2, used in Figurine/Relic Brass Row is same as copper Round above, Row/Trio used in scepter.

Trying to help a friend out. Where does one "start" becoming a Jewelcrafter. I found the "workstations" without an issue but unsure where he would "turn in" the token to learn this? Thanks in advance.

You can make a ring with wisperwind asp scales that gives 5, or you can make an earring with frostcoil rattles that gives 15 dodge and a few haste

At the start of the Profession, Signets are used in Novice Signet Ring, Novice Pendant and Novice Hoop Earring. I made a Novice Signet Ring of Acuity -> Pewter Signet of Acuity, Pewter Ingot, Beeswax, and Ashen Polish. The ring has +1 INT on it. Sub-combine - Pewter Signet of Acuity: Pewter Ingot, Beeswax, and Celestium Dust of Acuity.

Don't be like me and forget that you have to return to your starter zone to get the profession, my halfling self was confused in Thronefast for longer than I'd like to admit.

Can any of the named Jewelry recipes be crafted as higher tiers? The Cotton Grizzleclaw Necklace is the only source of +Block Rating, but the item only give +10 to that stat, and when shields have +600 to that stat, ten isn't much. Is there any known way to craft a Gossamer or Linen version of the grizzleclaw necklace for additional block rating stats? If not, they really should, cuz otherwise some of the "named jewelry" recipes are made irrelevant pretty quickly after getting them.

I don“t understand anything about this guide, people in game say this is about rings, earrings and necklaces, and here I read about rounds, squares, figurines and scepters, yet the guide is being updated after recent patch. Updated on what? Can anyone shed some light on how JC actually works as of today? I find this guide useless

With the new patch changes from 03/05/25, jewelry has become very unattractive. The materials needed to craft it are harder to obtain, such as Zinc. Additionally, it is no longer possible to combine, as stated in this guide, Pewter with Copper or Brass. Pewter signed cannot be placed in a copper schematic and vice versa. The other day, I crafted an earring that gave +4 Concealment, but after the patch reduced the stats, it dropped to +2 Concealment and +5 Mana. Why would my rogue need Mana? It would be great if what this guide explains could actually be done... but at least I haven't been able to.
