"# Leveling Guide
- *Solo Levels 1β20 in Thronefast & Avendyr's Peak*
- This guide is purely for leveling efficiently while solo and will not touch on quests
- I will include a static group/twink/box guide at the end
- Brief but helpful macro guide & recommendations at the end

## General Tips
- π Be extra careful at **night** β some mobs change level or spawn stronger versions.
- πΊ Positioning matters: avoid standing in front of mobs with cone/aoe attacks (Some spiders)
- π₯ Find a duo partner to elevate your fun and increase your pace!

## How to follow this guide
- Review the map posted for each section
- Follow the #'s on the map which relate to the #'s in this guide for reference

## Thronefast Map 1

π **Map Point #1**
- Levels: 1-3
- Mobs: Skeletons, Goblins, Bees, Rats, Spiders, Toads
- Recommendations:
- The provisioner in town provides a quest to kill bees and will provide three meals, which provide a 30-minute 5% run speed bonus.
- Exit Avalia, turn **right at/before crossing the bridge**.
- Kill everything in the area
- Focus on skeletons and goblins for loot.

π **Map Points #2 & #3**
- Levels: 2-5
- Mobs: Wolf pups, Rats, Snakes, Bats
- Recommendations:
- π¦ Bats cast a **HIT debuff** (Less of a problem for casters/DoTs but potentially avoid if melee).
- π At night, bats and snakes spawn at higher levels. Some are aggressive.
- There are guards at the AVP Zone, along with 1 guard patrolling the path from Crossroads to AVP, who can assist in combat if needed especially at night.

π **Map Points #4, #5 & #6**
- Levels: 5-8
- Mobs: Boars, spiders, wolves, snakes
- Recommendations:
- β οΈ A **named Skeleton** spawns at night (walks between #4β#6).
- Be prepared β it is KoS (kill on sight).

---

## AVP Map 1

π **Map Point #7 β Bonus: Windspell Casters**

- Around lvl 10, near the **lake**.
- Soloable low-level casters.
- Killing one grants **+1 rep with Order of Lightning (BOLT)** β prevents **Bolt** from attacking you.
- β οΈ If you ignore this, Bolt roams these zones and will randomly kill you.
- π₯ Ask in `/ooc` for help if you canβt find one.

π **Points #1, #2, #3 & #4**
- Levels: 7-10
- Mobs: Wolves, bears, bats, spiders, snakes
- Recommendation:
- π Bind at the AVP/TF Bindstone or AVP Bindstone
- Slay everything. Be careful of Point #3 at night, which spawns some difficult mobs

π **Map Point #5**
- Levels: 10-12
- Mobs: Thicket Stalkers
- Recommendations:
- Dense packs, great for grinding.
- They always open with a **pounce knockdown** if aggro'd by range.
- Pounce can be blocked, parried, or shielded by various class abilities. If you're safe to fight them where they are, you can also rush them. If you have DoTs, pull them with a DoT so that at least dmg still ticks during the 3-4 seconds you're incapacitated.
- Aggro range is large β pull to safe spots (hills/edges).

π **Map Point #6** *(Halnir Cave Entrance)*
- Levels: 10-14
- Mobs: Spiders, wolves, bears
- Recommendations:
- Spiders cast **FLURRY** within 5s of melee range:
- Run **through them** to their back to avoid damage.
- Donβt strafe/backup β AoE cone is too large.
- Pets: reposition to the mobβs back to avoid getting shredded.

**Bonus Halnir Cave Dungeon Tip**
- Ravagers in Halnir Cave use the **same mechanic**.
- Tanks: face them away from the group.
- Pets: always at their back.

---

## AVP Map 2

π **Map Points #1, #2 & #3**
- Levels: 14-16
- Mobs: **Bears, spiders, boars**.
- Recommendations:
- βοΈ In the North West snowy area (Hangore), beware roaming **Group Orc + Boar** β they are mid-level 20's Group Mobs and will aggro & KoS.

π **Map Points #4 & #5** *(Orc Valley)*
- Levels: 14β20
- Mobs: Orcs
- Recommendations:
- Stay in the **lower valley** near the markers.
- βοΈ Upper valley = **Elite Group Orcs** β avoid soloing.

## Twink/Group Level Guide 1-10 under 1-4 Hours**

- **Starting Point: Evil Caves**
- Levels 1-3
- For reference, since no map is available. As if you were coming into the caves from outside. Immediately upon entering the caves where you see vendors and a walking path, turn right.
- Kill all the mobs in this area.
- Con snakes, they can be higher level than expected
- Levels 3-5
- Head further right, up on the rock platform.
- Kill everything here. Particularly the Beetles up on the platform. Careful because they like to help each other in combat and will aggro to assist their beetle-buddies
- Levels 5-7
- Go to the far right (as if you were just entering the cave for reference) and find the Group Goblin Mobs. One to two runs in, around, and out of the cave should net these levels)
- Levels 7-10
- Kill the Group Skeletons on the rock platform and down the path

# Macro Tips
- Press Exit or click the gear icon in the top left of your screen while logged into Pantheon.
- One of the Icons to the right is Macros, click that to open the Macro bar
- The Macro bar can be dragged in the bottom right to size it appropriately
- The Macro bar can be Shift + Right Clicked to adjust its opacity and scale
- Macros can be edited once created by right-clicking
- Individual Macros can be moved up/down left/right by editing the macro and clicking the arrows by remove

## Types of Macro Commands
- /use # will cast an ability from your main spells/abilities bar
- Example: /use 4 (This will cast the 4th ability on your main bar)
- /technique # will cast a technique (the smaller bar on the top left)
- /utility # will cast a utility (the smaller bar on the top right)
- /wait # (# in this instance is time in seconds. So 3 is three seconds. 3.5 is three and a half seconds)
- %t (This will type the name of the mob you have targetted)
- Chat Macros: /party /say /shout /guild /ooc /auction

## Building A Macro
- You want to determine what aciton you want to take, followed by the wait time necessary (if required) before sequencing the next action.
- If you want to cast an ability that takes 2 seconds to cast (like Shaman buffs for instance) you want to set a wait timer of 2.1 seconds which is 2 seconds cast time and .1 second buffer.
- **Example:** A shaman with 4 buffs slotted into the last 4 Utility spots.
```
/utility 3
/wait 2.1
/utility 4
/wait 2.1
/utility 5
/wait 2.1
/utility 6
```
**Note:** No `/wait` time is needed for the last spell cast since we donβt plan on casting anything after.

## Recommended Macros
- Tanks:
- 1) Communicate when pulling
- 2) Communicate if you see a patrol nearby or coming and don't want your group to accidentally aggro it. Raising awareness can save lives!
- 3) Ask team to assist on you
```
1) /p I'm pulling a [ %t ] one per message!
```
```
2) /p ATTENTION! There is a PATROL mob nearby! Check your surroundings.
```
```
3) /p ASSIST me attacking %t
```

- Healers & Other Classes
- 1) Communicate that there is an add attacking your group (General)
- 2) Communicate if you are stunned/sleeping or otherwise incapacitated (Healer)
- 3) Communicate if you're low on mana (Healer)
```
1) /p ATTENTION! there is an ADD on us!
```
```
2) /p ATTENTION! I am Incapacitated and cannot heal!
```
```
3) /p ATTENTION! Healer low on mana!
```

**Note:** While you can create macros for anything you can type, like /stuck bind, I can't tell you how many times I've accidentily hit the wrong macro. If you're going to use a lot of macros, consider moving them with the arrows in the edit screen to organize them in rows or columns for combat and another for utility, etc.

## Closing
### Thank you for taking the time to review my Guide, I hope it's been helpful.

*My aim was to give guidance and general direction and **not** to fast-track new players past what a lot of us enjoyed learning and finding through trial and death. If you like the knowledge transferred, and would like me to post my take on class guides, group leveling, feel free to request them. If you have anything you'd like added or removed as the game progresses, please let me know in the comments below.*

**Writer:** DcWarGames / DCWarBuffs
**Server:** Stormona

"
