I have the kite shield blank but no instructiions how to finish the kite shield.

I discovered that the blank is used to make the Crude Asherium Kite Shield. I don't recall seeing the word crude in the description in the quest line, so I wasn't expecting the Crude Asherium Kite Shield to be the correct item for making the items needed for Trias and the subsequent quest to make 3 more of the same shields immediately afterwards. I hope this info helps.

Can confirm you need to hand in 'Crude Kite Shield'. You need to make it using an Asherium Kite Shield. Then the rest of parts buy through supplier next to forge.

First, make the Asherium Kite Shield Blank. Second, make the Shield Brace. Third, make the crude Kite Shield. Turn that in to Trias. He walks up and down the path between Priest Alimar and the tavern.
