A simple chain with a stunningly beautiful, polished piece of chitin set into its facet. No one can be sure of how the beetle came to be wearing such a thing, but perhaps the piece of glittering, amber-hued chitin belonged to one of its brood and it reclaimed the item in an act of vengeance. No, it was just a beetle. Beetles know no such thing as vengeance. Upon the back of the setting, an inscription in lettering so fine it is difficult to make out reads: "To my beloved - I have slain the beast that slew your father in an act of vengeance for slaying its broodmother, which slew your grandfather before him, for having brought the broodking low before it... and so on, as you know, your family history and all. May this beautious fragment be proof of my love and valor, and let us pray, a symbol for the end of this vicious cycle."

A weapon built with a very specific purpose in mind, it has been reclaimed at least from the beast who slew its origonal owner. One of the still-unsolved mysteries of the world, is where a beetle would keep such a sizable object. A dimensional pocket? No, it's just a beetle...

Not your typical beetle bonnet. This one is burly. Its also quite pretty.

The thick, supple leather is mconstantly warm to the touch and flecked with embers that persist regardless of time or circumstance.
