Look, this bridge is in bad shape. I know you can’t see it, but underneath those paving stones it’s all made of wood. The regulars noticed it on their patrols but of course the old man didn’t listen to them. If we leave it like this, some merchant cart or worse a noble’s carriage is going to have a bad time of things.
The first thing we’re going to need is a lot of lumber to replace the supports. I know it isn’t the most glamorous of tasks, but I could really use your help with that. Once we have the lumber we can get to work on the repairs.
