It’s these new recruits, you see. They barely know which end of the weapon to hold, let alone how to parry an attack. I can’t send them out on patrol like this. The bandits would have a field day.
If you are willing, I would like to commission you to make some shields for the recruits. 5 Maple Round shields should be enough. I know it is a big order, so I will pay you fairly for the shields.
