A Thief's First Touch
Description
Most Halflings like their business clear and open, all smiles and strong drinks. Me? I prefer my business done in the dark, behind a locked door, and with no witnesses.
But that’s why we’re here, isn’t it? You’re not built for standing in a shield wall. You’re built for slipping past it.
Rogues are whispers, not war cries. We move when others hesitate, take when others ask, and disappear before the trouble starts. We aren’t trusted - but we are needed.
But before I teach you anything, let’s test if you’ve got the hands for the work.
I lost a dagger in a bet. Not my proudest moment. Sifzot - the most happily drunk Halfling in Sorhiryth - has it now. Loves his Spike. Loves it too much.
Wait until he’s deep in his cups, distracted and full of nonsense. Then, take back what’s mine. No threats. No fights. Just quiet hands and a dagger, out of that bag, and back where it belongs.

You’re learning, but don’t get too proud of yourself. Taking from a drunk Halfling isn’t exactly fine work – it’s barely even sport..
Still, a quiet hand is a rare thing, and rarer still in the right company. I’ll be watching.
Return to me when you’re ready for your next lesson.
Behind Sifzot, inside, is their bag which contains the quest item: Emoa’s Dagger
