Echoes of the Corrupted

Description

I’ve consulted the documents and fear we’re running out of time. With the Ghaldassii sigil altar shattered, whatever the goblins seek is closer to returning than we realized. But we still don’t know precisely what they’re trying to awaken.

Fortunately, the Ministry has uncovered an ancient method of communicating with Ghaldassii relics that still contain their magic. Enchanted scrolls that can unlock the echoes sealed within. Imprints they may have left for us.

We’ve located one such relic, a beacon high within Knightwolf Knoll.

There’s a catch, of course. The Knoll was once peaceful, inhabited primarily by the Fae. Now, under the control of the Wycan and his Knightwolves, it’s become exceedingly dangerous. But we have no choice-use this enchanted scroll at the beacon, speak the incantation, and listen carefully to whatever echo the relic reveals.

At the Ghaldassii beacon:

A Warning

As you finish reading the scroll, a voice can be heard coming from the beacon:

"Hear us, kin of stone and starlight. A shadow walks among us; our blood turned foul, our brother lost to the whispering dark. Trust not the familiar face, for corruption wears his skin. Seal this memory, seal this warning - lest oblivion claim us all."

Hand-in Quest NPC:

A corrupted giant, one of their own? This explains everything.

While you were at the Knightwolf Knoll, one of Minister Braidwood’s scouts arrived - exhausted and shaken. He witnessed a ritual at the Ghaldassii ruins in Wild’s End, the same place where your journey began. It’s time to finish this.
