Can't find them for the life of me.

If you’d like a set of more powerful glyphs, I can create them for you. However, I will need a few things.
First we need something which embodies the element the glyph is designed to protect against. If you follow the riverbanks west and north you will find a cave. In this cave there are ice-like crystals which never melt. Some of those should be sufficient.
In the meantime, I will ask a courier to bring me the other things that I need. Please return once you have the crystals from the cave.

Wow, okay, so in order to complete a quest to acclimate yourself to the cold, you have to go deep into the cold area.

It's only the mild frigid acclimation zone. Just talk to Thame Ashmane after completing "An Enchanted Quill" and buy the T1 or T2 glyphs from him. Relog if you can't see the glyphs. The glyphs are tradeable.

I guess I just assumed the quest *reward* was cold weather glyphs, but maybe doing this quest unlocks better glyphs for purchase or something. On this page, it says the reward is 1g. Anyway, I'm only level 13 (Rogue), but I like doing dangerous and stupid things, so I'm gonna go try to get some crystals soon on my own to complete this thing, lol.

It seems they have adjusted the mild frigid zone to stop some distance prior to the cave and it gets much worse. Does it go back to being mild deeper in the cave? If not, how are people expected to fight there way through there AND deal with the extra cold?

Update to above post. I only had the minor glyphs which did not have enough cold protection. The Lessor Glyphs helped considerably. Did they add these recently as I had not noticed them available until after the Unity 6 patch.

Currently, you only need to do the 1st quest 'An Enchanted Quill' and after completing that quest, close the inventory and reopen it and then the Frost Glyphs are available for purchase. There is no benefit to completing this quest or his next quest (except for coin?) as it will not unlock any further tiers beyond Lesser. (Yet?)

The Pin on the Map is the correct Cave location. You are looking for a spell brown bags that will give you the quest item. I saw one stuck in the one of the ice columns. Look around the whole cave if you can't easily find it.

Things like being able to buy the Acclimation glyphs after the first turn-in by closing and reopening the window really should have some relevant information in the quest/character chat... Something like, "Oh yeah, by the way it's really cold up there, if you want I have some runes that you can purchase to protect you from the cold!"
Not to mention the river you're supposed to follow disappears and you have to know it just mystically appears again further NW.
