[His voice is thin now. Strained, like he’s fighting to say conscious. Ash creeps along his veins, his eyes rimmed with soot.]

The Journal’s writing again….glyphs sharper than ever. Urgent. Almost frantic. I think… I think Orlen wants this finished. And maybe so do I. Before I lose what’s left of me.

[He exhales a shuddering breath.]

The next passage speaks of a Warden. A Sentinel bound by ash and flame. Stationed before the great doors.

The Journal calls it “The hand that steadies the final breath.”

It also says this: ‘That which steadies must be unbound, and the five drawn to its heart.”

My quess? This Sentinel holds something the gems will… answer to. Without it, those doors stay shut.

[His gaze sharpens, for a moment. Looking more like the explorer than fading man.]

The Sentinel is Everburned and no doubt their strongest. They trusted it to guard this final threshold. Be ready. You’ve fought hard to come this far, but this one may be waiting to die for its charge.
