I think it's at the usual Alchemy Bench, but note that you need the Glue Pot in your schematics bag first - the recipe has the full details
Foxes :) Just make sure you find a "forelyn fox", not a "young foreyln fox" because they drop the "young fox tail".
Good places to find these that I know of are on the hill up above the mage starter area, and also on the grassy plains near jacked rabbit. And I'm sure there's more places.
in the winter zone off western part of AVP. Dangerous for low level + has cold debuffs applied by environment worst of which is a -6 DoT. So cant stay there long enough to get anything. Sucks this is a blocker for the quest to get the pan to make higher level foods.
Trying to help a friend out. Where does one "start" becoming a Jewelcrafter. I found the "workstations" without an issue but unsure where he would "turn in" the token to learn this? Thanks in advance.
The
Second Curse Wolf
drops the required quest item,
Shadowed Paw
, and can be found at roughly
4175, 2815 on top of a hill near a dilapidated structure.
Beware as there are group difficulty hobgoblins in the area and they will aggro from some range.
This quest rewards the player with Moonlit Mixture, a no trade quest item used in a follow up quest.
Yes I ran into this as well. No bows I could make without finding a dropped schematic worked, but I'm not sure where to find it - probably in a crate..
Well shoot, that would probably explain why it was so unclear I was in the right area. I had to use the information from this page and also reaching out to other people on Discord to figure out how to find it. Although now that the coordinates to the piece have been fixed, it should be a lot easier for people to find, especially if they use the map feature on this site.
I haven't found an "organic" way to get up to the hobgoblin cliffs *without* climbing some pretty tall cliffs. So depending on your climbing skill and maybe your food buffs, you "might" not be able to reach it? I can't be too sure, but the way I got there was by climbing up a cliff at 3028, 3594. This is roughly near the Avalia newbie area, and it leads up to a cliff with some level 8ish Chevron hobgoblins. I then scaled the cliff to north of that, to get up to the right area. It's entirely possible there are other ways to get there, but that's the way I found.
But it's dangerous up there, and I think the only reason I was able to navigate around there is due to being a Rogue and being in stealth as much as possible. If you're not a Rogue, I reckon you'd need a group to clear out the hobgoblins, in which case your group should probably be in the 9-12 level range.
This dropped last night from a shady outdoorsman. Stats changed. It is now +2 charisma and +18 dodge rating.
It seems to be a super super rare drop, as I have killed hundreds of these guys and only seen it one time.
There is some faction gain:
You have gained 1000 experience.
You received 2 silver, 50 copper.
Your standing with Thronefast Regulars has improved!
You have completed 'Smuggling Operation'!
Confirmed same as Earthquake. After about 200 kills, this one was finally seen dropping tonight. WIth as rare as it seems, disappointing stats dropped so much.
Edit*
The weapon was visible displayed in Orc's hand.
I dont understand how you are suppose to traverse to the hobgoblin area, I only managed to get to one by climbing a bunch of obscure cliffs and while my loc was closeby to #2 it wasn't exactly the right area.
Any tips for at least getting to the right hobgoblin area - my locs were around 30XX and 35XX.
Maybe it was the right one but I couldnt explore too closely it only had about 5 goblins roaming is that correct?
Note on Dreg "Pressure armor" - title is "Pressure Plate Armor", and it is a %-based "damage shield"-type ability (i.e., when you hit the enemy, you get hit for a % of the damage dealt).
Okay, I found it. The loc is basically exactly at 2828, 3695. The coordinates above are correct, except there's an extra "2" at the front of the Y coord. It looks like a small dark rock on the ground, and it's surrounded by hobgoblins. You'd need either a group to clear them out, or do like I did and be a Rogue and loot it quickly while stealthed, heh.
I do not understand where the 2nd item is. For one, the /loc coordinates in the spoiler don't make sense, then when I go to where I think it is, I can't find any sort of statue or "old head." I'm so confused, lol.
Sturdy Tree Branch still drops from this mob:
It is currently (sure this will be nerfed):
12 Damage / 2.9 Delay
1 str
1 sta
Classes: Same as above image
Weight: 3.8

I had one of the Ulthiran mobs (either initiate or cultist) near skellies right outside of Avalia drop this, but with different stats:
1 Armor, +1 Agility, +1 Intellect, +5 Health
Still Cloth and same equippable class list.
Return to the area around LOC: 3450, 4400 and kill 6 cultist mobs. Note, the initiate mobs killed for the blood sample in a previous quest do not count towards this quest.
Are you equipping the Cloth Punching Wraps for the fight? It won't count if you're using any other weapon. And if you're doing it in a group, the killing blow just means you have to get the final hit to kill them.
For the wolf paw in this quest take the road east from crossroads to the bridge where the bind stone is. Hang a right after the bridge and go up the hill. There are some thugs up there but behind them are the cursed wolves.
There are or were 3 drinks you could brew that had environmental resistances:
Sunbrew +5 Frigid Environment Resistance
Blackblood Tea +5 Toxic Environment Resistance
Moonbrew +5 Scorching environment resistance
Workers do not seem to do this - it only seems to be the Redjacket Stingers that use the ability Sacrificial Sting, and if you do enough damage at one time before they get the cast off, the cast will interrupt and they will start running away. - Did this several times, waited until the last second when they got to around 40% hp and then used a weak instant then a 2sec cast spell, usually finished before they did and they would turn and run if the damage was enough.
I think they usually spawn in gloom environments (hence the name) - so for example Spirit Manor, and I think I've seen them spawn in the skelly camp just outside Availia too.
These mage hunter initiates seem to spawn outside the western tunnel exit from the summoner, and up the hill. I only saw 1 up at a time. The coin was an uncommon drop, I got it after the 3rd kill.
he now wanders to the left of where the redjacket queen is, that little strip next to that area, some cultist walks through there too
also dropped a orc skull general item
In the heart of Halnir Caves, the master smith Ulstad crafted the legendary Blood Iron Plate. Using Glimwort Pulp, a rare glowing fungus, and Spectral Essence drawn from the cave's restless spirits, he forged the armor over a searing month. The full set gleamed with an eerie light, its dark metal pulsing as if alive, promising its wearer unyielding strength and spectral protection.
Yes. the gauntlets and helm are so far up-to-date. Everything else are older entries. You can check the patch status for most items by clickling on the item and checking the upper right corner how up-to-date it is.
Can confirm that the "Royal Sting" still drops. However, the stats have changed.
This weapon is now:
One-Handed Short Spear
6 Physical Damage
1.6 Delay
+5 Physical Crit Rating
Classes: Warrior, Rogue, Ranger, Shaman, Bard
Req Lvl 6
Weight 3.6
I've now gotten this twice:
Two handed staff:
Worn Staff
14 Damage
3.2 Delay
Classes: Warrior, Cleric, Wizard, Druid, Enchanter, Shaman, Summoner, Necromancer
I should note that it has been visible on his person prior to the kill each time.
You need the Campfire Roasting Pan (see top of the recipe page for the requirement).
And also 36 cooking - this is a higher tier recipe than the starter ones.
Have seen this mob con white at lvl 6 (in addition to yellow [so likely 6-7 range]).
Uses "Venomous Bite" which can cause Weak Poison DoT (-3 hp per tick)
Standard drops: Snake Blood, Snake Eye, Large Snake Fang, Small Snake Venom Gland, Tarnished Ring
Skinning drops: Snake meat, Low-quality Snakeskin, and Tattered Snakeskin
Looted the Crudely Forged Blade today, stats have either been changed, or there are multiple versions.
One-Handed Sword
5 Physical Damage
1.7 Delay
No stats
Found dark howlers (mob) at 3474, 3314.321. They satisfied this quest. The pups do not. Go across the bridge and follow the road about halfway between the bridge and the crossroads on the right and left sides.
As of Oct 21, the redjacket bees around the queen have a new ability. When their health gets low they self-destruct doing 70-169 damage that I've seen. 70 was standard damage. 169 was a crit.
Duo looks like same effect as Round. Partner looks like Square. Brass = +2, used in Figurine/Relic
Brass Row is same as copper Round above, Row/Trio used in scepter.
The Dusty Map can be found in all the hobgoblin junk crates. I found mine at Oceanside in that small hobgoblin cave.
The follow-up to this quest is called "On A Hunch Pt. 1". You have to find a dusty map from the hobgoblin caves near Windfeather. Pt. 1 is followed by Pt. 2 which has you find a cave behind a waterfall that has some hidden treasure. There is a designer note stating that Pt.2 cannot be completed until swimming is implemented.
Have killed Rilo about 6 times this season. The shirt drops 100% of the time. Have yet to see Scuffed Pendant. He also seems to drop random equipment like Simple Handwraps, Patch-Hide Cap, and more. Usually drops a Mild Antidote or bandages. Often get Crude Grinding Stone too.
Have camped this spawn for 3 straight days. Have killed Queen over a dozen times. 0 drops of the spear this season. Some have suggested it might have been removed from loot table but others have said it may now be a 5% drop rate.
Thanks Nessuno, you probably noticed a couple of bugs with the URL linking :) Looks like its best to use tinyurl for now as the parser needs some improvements. I fixed it all up for you :)
There is a treasure chest in the spider caves. Inside the treasure chest is a quest item called “a locked coffer”. Turn this in to The Scavenger for reward. I did not get a follow-on quest, but I still have the Dusty Map.
