Farmed a 2nd one for my wizard. Farming took 3 hours on Feb 1st, 6 hours Feb 9th, 3 hours Feb 11, and finally 5 minutes Feb 13th to get a second one 12h5m. Didn't pay attention to what mob dropped it. GOOOOOOOD LUCK! keep sane!
It seems to me like generally the Fire Orb familiar is better to use, 10% more damage is usually better than 10% more penetration. However, if you're fighting orange+ con mobs or something more likely to resist your spells then I use this one
In the codex this is listed as a level 22 spell, but I am pretty sure the scroll says 24. I didn't try to learn it until I was 24 so not sure which is the actual casting or learning requirement
This spell represents one of the strangest decisions I've seen in an MMO. In previous iterations of the lighting system the devs apparently decided there were too many people using torches and magelight and other lighting effects simultaneously. To discourage use of the spell they changed it to be really, really bad. Instead of disabling or removing the spell, it's just not very useful as a light and actively eats away your MP. I wish I was making this up
This spell was bugged for a couple weeks prior to the Unity 6 patch, but since the patch it is working again, but differently than before.
Previously you were able to cast invis while invis without breaking it, this has been fixed.
For a week or two invis was completely broken, putting you into a rogue's stealth animation and not seemingly not affecting aggro at all, since the Unity 6 patch though invis is very strong, as a level 27 mage I can dance right under the Ancient Thorn Titan and he cares not. I haven't found a mob yet that will aggro while you're invis. Prior to the patch that broke invis, it seemed like touching mobs or sprinting too close would still aggro.
You can't harvest from resource nodes while invis, but you can drag your body and loot from treasure chests.
If you're thinking of going invis and stealing all the chests in Hanggore, just know that environmental damage effects will break your invis. On an ENTIRELY unrelated note, any summoners or necros in AVP?
Dropped Chaotic Imbuement in ~20 kills, then bought Invisibility and Gate from the Wizard trainer (the scroll itself is usable from any class having access to the spell).
With the 3 spawns points fairly close together and shard hopping you can chain kill them with little pause.
It's a Technique, and they're learned once you reach the given level and skillup your weapon to match. Just go beat on some mobs until your weapon skill is maxed and it should be added to your codex automatically.
As of today, Feb12 patch you can get the starting map fragment out of the supply crates that spawn around the starter town. I got mine from the second crate I opened (the one under the aqueduct).
Don't think I would play with wizards that roll on melee daggers and dire lords that roll on priest gloves. Y'all need to find some better party members.
Unless Shamans have a cold damage spell, I'm guessing this is a fire damage buff based on the classes. It's the only type of damage shamans and wizards would have in common.
As a shaman. I have been here for three days grouped and solo. Not seen one caster or healer drop, but I have outfitted a monk with spare parts, only missing gloves, even outfitted my little tank, but nothing for my shaman at all. still in crude leather mostly. one of Lifes little rules. you never get what you want but some times, you get what you need.
How simple it is to use the Spell Turn spell as an Enchanter!
The spell appears as it's spell icon does in the spell book, when put on your ability bar. Anytime the enemy cats a spell or attacks with an ability which can be interrupted, the icon will change colors to a light red icon. If during the enemies cast you activate the spell turn ability the icon either will start its cooldown and change to a greyed out ability if the spell/skill cant be cast back on the enemy, or it will change color once again to a much brighter red color to indicate the spell is ready to be cast back, To cast the spell back you simply hit the ability hotkey or button again to complete the cast within the time frame allotted.
In many instances if you tune your combat window to only show YOUR actions, it is easily visible what the result is by showing the spells effects or resists a though it was originally your spell to cast!
Enchanters also get Spell Turn, which in most cases at the very least will Interrupt Skills and always spells in my experience. There are a few melee skills or mob abilities that it can not interact with, however it's a small percentage. In the best situations, once it interrupts a spell or skill, it will absorb that ability and the caster will have a time period in which to cast the absorbed ability back at the target, or another target, and even aim the resultant effects at a party member (for instance you might throw a DD spell at your enemy and benefit from a heal spell cast on your defensive target).
On top of this, when you use it on spells or skills which leverage skills you typically never possess in your class or race, it increases your skill in that ability.
I am at least 40 kills into Larcs at this point. Is anyone able to confirm he still drops Bone-Handled Battle Axe, and if he does, can stats be confirmed? Particularly the 2.0 Delay
