Killed three times today - 1st kill got Scuffed Leggings (9 AC +1 Stam) Leather for War, Monk, Druid, Shaman, Cleric, Paladin, Rogue, Ranger, Bard
Other 2 times just trash/common loot.
Stats changed: 1str 5fire 12mana 112block 8block_value. I also died, lost my corpse on the spot ( I think it's in WE at my previous bind, read on..lel...) and it bound me right there at the waiting area for Drog. How awesome to be bound right at a named after the best item has been nerfed! This feels normal for someone who started EQ in 1999, carry on soldiers!
Update: the descriptor was added to clarify that this only is boosting DAMAGE spells, and as such does not currently apply to anything in the Ranger kit. This may change when the next patch hits and Rangers get their kit "rework", or whatever VR likes to call these things.
think all these items from ashbreathers will be upgradeable via quests thru the enclave npcs?
im betting on something happening like that because as if now the items are under tuned in my opinion
anyone have any information on why this shield is so valuable and since ive got one ive had alot of people offering alot of plat and items for it? im not selling or trading im keeping it but im wondering for sure.
7/10/25 Killed him yesterday solo.
At lvl 16 Shaman - W) good gear - he conned dark blue.
Situatuation the same. Got an eye.
No coin drop, no vendor items.
Skinned and got the same hide as from tons of other Crocs.
Problem with warchief, both upper and lower, is the seer adds that will heal like crazy and cast "ancestral fire" which will break any CC on nearby mobs. Can try to bodypull, but is risky. The most consistent for us have just been for tank and chanter to rush in, tank interrupts AF one and chanter other, and then chanter keep them CCed while you kill off boss. If they still get the AF off, you need to drag them apart out of AF/healing range and kill individually, which can be hard for lower level groups - For highlevel groups, 35+ you can just dps through it ofc.
Warchief itself is pretty easy. He hits like a wet noodle before 50% hp. Then he starts to throw his explosive charges. Kinda like the scout one, except these are 3 at once, each sticking to a player (debuff), and explodes after 3 sec for 300 AoE dmg each. If you're all cuddled up, everyone below 900 hp dies. So team just needs to spread out, and especially if you get the debuff, run away from the others.
Popped an armored on my 5-man level 31-38 yesterday. Took us 36 min. About twice of normal.
Positioning is tank in front and the rest under the wing.
The most challenging with this fight is manamanagement/efficiency.
Also very important for tank to actively block the bites, as getting shredded 50% of your hp every 15 sec or so quickly adds up.
