Confirmed that it still drops off Pyresouls. Had a pair drop last night. Also the description is no longer the same one as the Pauldrons of Pyre and Ruin. It has it's own unique description which states: "Crafted of very thick, but rather crude iron. The scars that they bare are evidence of having fulfilled their duty of deflecting many a lethal blow."

Its on a different loottabe which is ultra rare and wasn't affected by the recent loot changes. You see the same pattern with some other ultra rare loot tables.

I have seen it drop the first kill we killed him, that was like 2 weeks ago haven't been back since.

Have you physically seen modrus drop shield or you saying it because it's listed as his drop, we have killed over 50 modrus and only got axes and crossbows, and supposedly all loot has an equal chance it should be 33.3 percent chance.

First of all you want to have high fire resist. Second, when you come through the portal, do not charge immediately. You want to syncronize and have everybody charge at once, because if you don't, and some people hang back, he will blow them off the platform down to down below. You want to use interrupts where you can to disrupt his spells, some of them you can silence if I remember right, others you can disrupt. Dire Lords are the best tanks for this fight and need to use their magic defenses. It's best if you have 2 healers. I have succeeded with one. Always position yourself when fighting him close so you have plenty of land behind you so you don't get blown off the edge.

What's the Strategy for this guy took me 2 days of clearing placeholder just to get this guy to spawn to open portal, by the way the placeholder is on a 6 hour timer. We zone in prep to attack he proceeds to warp and one shot the entire group but the tank the. He 3 shots the tank. Then portal vanished. Normally I figure out my own strategy but with time sink a little insight would help thanks
